'Aurat jaat ka andar aana mana hai' reads a stark board in front of the Angarchand house. His sons have taken a wow of celibacy after a tragedy struck the family, which they attribute to a woman. The fighting family in question is the nearby village's Lakshmi Devi's. In a show of one-upmanship, Angarchand's son Jai (Akshaye Khanna) and Lakshmi Devi's granddaughter Anjali (Kareena Kapoor) stage a drama of love. Before they realize, they really fall in love. And then starts the series of events breaking the age-old rules with the hullabaloo that makes for one crazy love story!
