Rudraksha FactsRudraksha is a Sanskrit compound consisting ofthe name Rudra (""Shiva"") and aksha(""eye""). Rudraksha grows in the area from theGangetic Plain in foothills of the Himalayas to South-East Asia and Indonesia.Around 70% of the Rudraksha trees are found in Indonesia, 25% in Nepal and 5%in India Rudraksha seeds are covered by an outer shell of blue color when fullyripe, and for this reason are also known as blueberry beads. Rudraksha beadsare botanically known as Elaeocarpus Ganitrus Roxb.
Rudraksha beads have long historical values in Hindu religion. Different mukhiRudraksha represent different Gods such as Lord Surya, Hanuman, Vishnu, Brahma,Durga, Kartikaya and of course Lord Shiva himself. One who wears Rudraksha getblessings of all of them. Rudraksha beads never give negative energies andthere is no harm in wearing them. They can be worn by anyone and the positiveenergy originating from them give the power, name, fame, good fortune, health,wealth etc.
We keep Rudraksha soaked in oil in our stock. It cleans Rudraksha and alsoimproves their skin, colour and strength which increases their shelf life. Whenone wears them they take oil from the body naturally and help them keep theirstrength. It is advisable to keep them soaked in oil when Rudraksha are notused for a while.
