No problem if youre not a sailor. No problem if youre not a Viking. No problem if youre not from the Lord of the Rings. You can still relish the charm of the Middle Ages. With Bierfass! Rustic yet stylish, Bierfass - German for beer barrel - is made from over 21 hand processes and is a culmination of 17 different pieces put together. And not merely decorative, it is designed for actual usage and drinking. The mug is made from genuine Oak wood and then coated with special wax and oils to make it food safe and leak proof. Absolutely unlike anything else, it can soak up almost a full bottle (650ml) of beer (apart from the jealous stares of other unfortunate souls with boring mugs). So are you finally ready to leave the puny mugs to tiny-sipping sissies and step to some real thirst quenching? A treat for Beer Lovers. Ideal for your beer mug set / bar set. Copyrighted and Original Design by Hot Muggs. Wooden items need coatings to make them food safe and also to enhance and protect the wood. Bierfass is made with genuine Oak wood and then coated with special wax and oils to make it food safe. No cheap, chemicalized glossy finishes are used. Being natural and totally food safe, the oil coating will gradually wear off with use, but can be re-applied very simply. Even at home.
Use any vegetable oil or mineral oil that may be available at any hardware store or pharmacy near you. Walnut, coconut, olive and linseed oil are the preferred choices. Even beeswax makes a great option. Apply in several coats ideally allowing time for it to dry in between.
